Give away Whoopsie! Whoopie! It’s like manna from heaven! I have the cook book, I have the ingredients, but they never get made. And so many uninitiated here in my new homeland on the west coast that I ought to feed. I could sure use a little inspiration to get me started (and I’d even share….).

Ahhhh, whoopie pies! I unexpectedly became The Cool Aunt when I brought homemade whoopie pies to my visiting niece and nephews. Their mom had asked me to pick up some for dessert, but the bakery only had a few, so I whipped ‘em together from pantry staples.
Bonus: homemade whoopie pies means you can make a few smaller ones for little hands or for grown-ups who want to practice some restraint.
Double-bonus: with homemade whoopie pies, the kids can help assemble them, which was a source of much giggling and excitement.
But boy howdy, I do enjoy a bakery-bought whoopie pie. Mmmm.
